Miskatonic featured in the New York Times!

Erik Piepenberg of The New York Times wrote this piece (appearing both online and in the print edition) about our school, featuring interviews with founder Kier-La Janisse, instructors Sukhdev Sandhu and Dianca London Potts, genre scholar Adam Lowenstein and Miskatonic student Derek Boeckelmann.

“Because horror films have a vocabulary for the horrific, the painful, the traumatic, the things we don’t want to look at or see or think about, they really give us an invaluable opportunity to understand and perhaps change the things in ourselves and our society that need changing,” [Lowenstein] said. “Horror is healthy.”
